Group FAQ's

Q: Education Field Trips are all full. Can we still visit the Aquarium?

A: If you are unable to make a reservation for your class with the Education Department for the 2-hour guided education program, you may bring your class to the aquarium for a self-guided tour. Naturalists are stationed throughout the aquarium to answer any questions your group may have. Please note that groups that visit Shark Reef Aquarium on a self-guided tour will not have access into the classroom.

If you are using a Clark County School bus for your field trip, the bus must be back at your school by 1pm.

Q: Do you have any recommendations?

A: Yes, if your school does not require a uniform, we recommend you make it a "fun day". Ask all the children to wear the same color t-shirt to help identify everyone in your group. Please be aware that the Education Department will also be conducting guided tours with groups of 30 students through the aquarium between 10 am and 12 pm.

Q: Can we pre-purchase tickets?

A: Yes, arrangements can be made for pre-payment so tickets are ready at time of arrival or they can be purchased at the Box Office in advance.

Q: Can we pay when we arrive?

A: Yes you may, however depending on the number of tickets it may delay entry of the group.

Q: Can the Aquarium accommodate large groups at once?

A: Yes, however we may need to divide your large group into smaller groups of 20 to 30 at the time of entry to assist with flow into the aquarium.

Q: If we pre-purchase tickets and have a last minute cancellation, can we still use the ticket later?

A: Yes, unused tickets are good for one year from the date of purchase.

Q: Can we pay with a check?

A: Yes, we accept company or school checks, major credit cards or cash. We do not accept personal checks.

Q: How do I get an invoice for my request?

A: Please call Group Sales for further assistance.

Q: Where do we park?

A: Shark Reef Aquarium is located near the South Convention Center. If you are traveling south on Las Vegas Boulevard, make a right turn into the South Convention Parking (see our map).

Q: Where do I park if I have private transportation?

A: You may park in the South Convention Parking area (see map).

Q: Can we arrange a guided tour of the Aquarium?

A: We only offer guided tours that have been arranged by our Education Department. We do, however, offer several interactive educational tools to enhance your group's experience.

Passports: This guidebook offers the opportunity to easily recognize some of the many different species of animals we have in our exhibits. It also is a great memento of your visit.

Naturalist: Interpretive staff is located in different areas of the Aquarium to answer guest questions.
